A story of Love and Liberation.
A collective heARTwork.
Narrated by Natasha Mandel and illustrated by Katelyn Demidow.

This story of love and liberation was a year and a half long process of crying, of cheering, of learning, of trusting- that Natasha and I embarked on early on in 2018. We were having one of our ritual video chat coffee dates when it just happened, the spark of this idea, a collaborative effort of both our voices and our visions. Her via poetry and I via conceptual photography. The concept was simple, we would each take turns creating something based on what the other would send as inspiration. So sometimes the imagery was inspired by her poetry and sometimes her poetry was inspired by my imagery. And every once in a while, we would each create something independently that once we shared with each other, we just knew they fit together right away.

This project broke us wide open. It created this bridge between our two souls that will last lifetimes. We became the most vulnerable we have ever been in our lives, knowing we were safe with one another and there was only love, no judgment between us.

And here we are, a year and a half later, and I must walk forward with this project, without her physically by my side. Natasha is now in the ethers, where her head spent most of its time but she felt burdened by the plights in this world. I hope this journey we are sharing with you brings you peace and you can feel how much love was shared between us in creating it.

*Half of all proceeds will be donated to a variety of causes that Natasha would have supported.
Examples: The Trevor Project, Black Lives Matter, Therapy for Black Girls, etc.

Natasha really believed in this project. She put her heart and soul into it. She knew we had a story to tell and that our healing could help others heal.
