I painted this as a way to honor the years I lived in the Lake Charles, LA area. They have the most beautiful sunsets there. They recently were devastated by Hurricane Laura, a nearly category 5 storm. I’ve watched my friends and the community there come together in the last week in the most beautiful and touching way. They still need a ton of help though. Many have had their homes destroyed and/or their businesses that they worked so hard to build. All proceeds will be donated to the Vessel Project from the sale of this painting and through the fine art prints as well of this painting.
